About

My name is Mikayla! I'm a 22 year old University Graduate with a passion for all things beauty. I stumbled into the online beauty community a year ago and have been obsessed with youtube videos and blogs ever since. After watching hundreds of videos over the past year I figured it was about time I joined the community and posted my own thoughts in my own little space. I'm also recently graduated, unemployed and headed for college in September.

I really enjoy all things beauty, and I really like telling my friends what I think about products so writing them down just felt natural. To me, make up isn't something that you wear to make yourself look prettier, it's something you do on yourself for yourself. It has the power to give you strength to tackle a rough day, the courage to find your inner confidence and sparkle like every girl is meant too.

Other than beauty, I love fashion. Beauty and Fashion are the keys to my heart, along with a great deal. I'm all about a decent deal, and budget shopping is my favourite.

I can't wait to start this journey with the internet and all of you!

10 Things I love About Fall

Monday 14 September 2015

To start off my Fall Theme Week this year, I thought I would start with a couple of my favourite things about Fall. Fall is hands down my favourite season of all the seasons.

1. Crunchy Leaves
My absolute most favourite thing to do in the fall is walk through piles of crunchy leaves, or leaf piles in general, there is something so satisfying about stepping on a crunchy leaf.
2. Chunky Sweaters
I adore fall fashion (is it acceptable all year round!?) between chunky sweaters and an infinity scarf and top knots, the whole season is just comfortably chic.
3. Fall Teas
Summer is for iced teas, fall is for warm teas. I'm currently obsessed with a lime one from David's Tea, but that is bound to change as the new season rolls in.
4. Plaid
Who doesn't love plaid? Paired with leggings and combat boots *inserts heart emoji*
5. Crisp Air
Ontario summers are pretty humid (hello frizzy hair) so there is something so refreshing about actually being able to feel like you can breathe in the fall, except then you know winter is coming (GoT anyone!?) and with that there is the windchill.
6. Changing Colours of the Leaves
Driving through some of the counties in Canada are completely breathtaking in the fall with the changing leaves being all different shades of red and orange, it makes me nostalgic for my university where fall is when it was prettiest.
7. Fall Makeup- Light Eyes and Bold Lips
I'm only starting to find myself in the bold lips trend, having been too scared before because I'm super pale, but I'm actually excited for a red lip this year.
8. Pumpkin Patches
The above mentioned clothing items and a pumpkin patch paired with a starbucks beverage (I don't like the pumpkin spice latte) screams tumblr to me and I'm obsessed with that right now too.
9. Colder Weather
Again with the Weather, Ontario is hot in the summer and cold in the winter, but fall and spring are just the perfect temperature, where wearing jeans and a jacket won't make you sweat to death, but you don't need a bajillion layers to stay warm.
10. No more bugs
Mosquitos are the worst things in Ontario summers, so when the air gets cooler they go away, and for the millions of people who are bitten every year you no longer have to worry about itching.

What are some of your favourite things about fall!? Also, be sure to check back tomorrow for another post in my Fall Theme Week Series!
