My name is Mikayla! I'm a 22 year old University Graduate with a passion for all things beauty. I stumbled into the online beauty community a year ago and have been obsessed with youtube videos and blogs ever since. After watching hundreds of videos over the past year I figured it was about time I joined the community and posted my own thoughts in my own little space. I'm also recently graduated, unemployed and headed for college in September.

I really enjoy all things beauty, and I really like telling my friends what I think about products so writing them down just felt natural. To me, make up isn't something that you wear to make yourself look prettier, it's something you do on yourself for yourself. It has the power to give you strength to tackle a rough day, the courage to find your inner confidence and sparkle like every girl is meant too.

Other than beauty, I love fashion. Beauty and Fashion are the keys to my heart, along with a great deal. I'm all about a decent deal, and budget shopping is my favourite.

I can't wait to start this journey with the internet and all of you!

Life Update

This blogging thing is a lot more work than I thought it would be, moreso thinking of ideas for posts that are creative and fun and interesting. Over the past couple of weeks I have really struggled with what type of content I want to be putting out there, I don't want to be strictly beauty things, but I'm unsure of how to transition to a more whatever I like blog.

Another thing is I've finished school, I've spent the last 19 years of my life knowing that in September I would be heading back to school, and for the last 5 years it has been post-secondary school, university and college. I'm excited to be heading out to the workforce and starting my career and all that jazz, but I rely on plans, and for the first time I don't really have one, which is incredibly scary for me.

Finally, my lack of posts this week has been because of a family emergency. Life has a funny way of playing out, and my great- grandmother has been in the hospital dealing with some pretty serious health issues. Yesterday I drove 4 and a half hours to be there for my family, after hearing that things weren't looking the best, and yet today she is up having breakfast and walking around. Regardless, I'm away for a couple days, and combined with my need to study for a provincial exam and the other things going on with my life and my inspiration levels, I will be back and ready when the time is right, to do this blogging thing properly.
