About

My name is Mikayla! I'm a 22 year old University Graduate with a passion for all things beauty. I stumbled into the online beauty community a year ago and have been obsessed with youtube videos and blogs ever since. After watching hundreds of videos over the past year I figured it was about time I joined the community and posted my own thoughts in my own little space. I'm also recently graduated, unemployed and headed for college in September.

I really enjoy all things beauty, and I really like telling my friends what I think about products so writing them down just felt natural. To me, make up isn't something that you wear to make yourself look prettier, it's something you do on yourself for yourself. It has the power to give you strength to tackle a rough day, the courage to find your inner confidence and sparkle like every girl is meant too.

Other than beauty, I love fashion. Beauty and Fashion are the keys to my heart, along with a great deal. I'm all about a decent deal, and budget shopping is my favourite.

I can't wait to start this journey with the internet and all of you!

The Face Shop: Mild Papaya Peeling

Tuesday 9 December 2014

The last time my sister and I were in Vancouver we stumbled on this store called The Face Shop, it is Asian Skincare and amazing. The prices of the products available are extremely competitive, this baby was $15 and you need 1-2 pumps 1-2 times a week to exfoliate your entire face.

When we moved back to Barrie we found out that the local mall was opening a store as well, and we bought this way back in September there.

I use this when I get out of a hair washing shower- they usually occur at night about 2-3 times a week, and after drying my face I use about 1-2 pumps and gently rub in circular motions into my face.

The coolest part is that it balls up the dead skin on your face (which is why 1-2 times a week is all that is necessary) and then I rinse it away with some warm water.

This stuff leaves my face so soft, and I find myself itching (not actually) to use it again because I am both amazed and disturbed by the balls of dead skin. I can really tell it works too because when I'm strict on the 1-2 times a week the amount of balls that are rubbed off decrease compared to when I go a week or so without using it.

Have you guys tried anything like this before? Let me know in the comments!

I haven't tried this product but I've been to the Face Shop before. I actually got one of their nail polishes. They have The Face Shop in the casino in Niagara Falls (that's where we went). I was surprised at how affordable the items were.
