About

My name is Mikayla! I'm a 22 year old University Graduate with a passion for all things beauty. I stumbled into the online beauty community a year ago and have been obsessed with youtube videos and blogs ever since. After watching hundreds of videos over the past year I figured it was about time I joined the community and posted my own thoughts in my own little space. I'm also recently graduated, unemployed and headed for college in September.

I really enjoy all things beauty, and I really like telling my friends what I think about products so writing them down just felt natural. To me, make up isn't something that you wear to make yourself look prettier, it's something you do on yourself for yourself. It has the power to give you strength to tackle a rough day, the courage to find your inner confidence and sparkle like every girl is meant too.

Other than beauty, I love fashion. Beauty and Fashion are the keys to my heart, along with a great deal. I'm all about a decent deal, and budget shopping is my favourite.

I can't wait to start this journey with the internet and all of you!

Summer Fashion Trends: Guest Post by Elle Charie

The Light Wash Jean Shorts:
A staple must-have item for your summer wardrobe. The great thing about light wash shorts, is that they attract less sunlight due to the lighter colour and therefore will keep you cooler during the summer. The minimalistic style is very popular so pair with a white/off white top.

Crop Tops:
The 90's are back! And much like last summer crop tops are in-trend! Get ready to bare your midriff, of if you're like me and like to with a more conservative approach I recommend high waisted shorts/jeans/skirt and a nice crop top to boot.

Crochet Everything:
Basically crochet is super popular this season. Get ready for crochet dresses, tops, and shorts. Pair them with a bright colour for extra impact. Some style inspiration photos below.

Boxy, Light coloured Purses:
Purses in light coloured pastels with a boxy frame are really popular right now. Try getting a purse in an off-white colour, or mint.

Gold is Everywhere:
From Gold Watches to gold bracelets, we are going to be seeing a lot of statement gold pieces everywhere. So get your gold game on!

The Fedora Hat:
The Fedora Hat was traditionally for males but now is an iconic hat for women of all ages. The Fedora Hat is great for making you look stylish while protecting your eyes from all those nasty UV rays.
